Located in one of the most marginalized barrios of Guatemala City, Caminando por la Paz (Walking for Peace) functions as a Catholic Workers’ house, providing community service—primarily educational opportunities—in this small corner of the world.
We invite you to get to know us better, and we hope you’ll want to join us in our mission. You are welcome to visit Caminando por la Paz and meet us in person, but if you can’t visit us, please join us virtually as we “walk for peace” together.
Family Coffee is a project of Caminando Por La Paz, developed to help provide funding for our education program. We place marginalized youth in local schools and universities, and our tutoring sessions are offered free to the neighborhood kids whose parents cannot afford any other educational opportunity.
Beans for our Family Coffee are premium quality, sourced from Copan, Honduras. Their coffee grows at an altitude of 1,400 meters (4,593 feet), an excellent altitude for growing coffee.
